Scheduled for four outdoor performances at the 80,000-capacity Dresden Rinne from May 15 to 16 and May 18 to 19, Rammstein’s concerts, followed by AC/DC’s two-night stint on June 16 and 19, seem to have sparked concerns over noise issues, spurred by a Facebook post from the Free Voters/Free Citizens faction of Dresden City Council.

The faction’s statement hinted at potential requirements from the city administration that could jeopardize the gigs, hinting at a possible cancellation and relocation to Leipzig. However, Dresden city officials have refuted these claims, stating that while challenges regarding the venue exist, nothing is currently at stake.

Despite reassurances from the city, the Free Voters maintain that reliable sources confirm the validity of the information they received, particularly regarding concerns over noise pollution. They intend to scrutinize official files to gain clarity on the matter.

Rammstein’s promoter, Rodney Aust of Bernd Aust Kultur Management, asserts that discussions with Dresden authorities are ongoing, affirming the concerts’ continuation as planned. He attributes heightened scrutiny of the event area to previous flood-related issues and assures that planning proceeds without hindrance.
