Debbie Cook appointed EFL Director of Community

Debbie Cook has been appointed as the new Director of Community for the EFL, tasked with overseeing the management of the EFL Trust, the league’s charitable arm.

With 22 years of experience in local government, Cook brings valuable leadership expertise, having previously served as CEO for a national health charity and YMCA Humber.

She joined Grimsby Town as CEO in June 2021. Cook’s appointment was announced during the EFL Trust’s annual conference, and she will also join the League’s Executive Leadership team to enhance the EFL and EFL Trust’s impact. Trevor Birch, EFL CEO, expressed excitement about Cook’s contribution, while Liam Scully, Chair of the EFL Trust, thanked the outgoing senior team and welcomed Cook to the role, anticipating continued growth.
