What is Haikyuu?

Haikyuu is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. The series was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020, and has been collected in 42 tankōbon volumes. The story follows Shōyō Hinata, a boy determined to become a volleyball star despite his small stature, who joins his school’s volleyball team only to be the target of bullying by its star player, Tobio Kageyama. When Kageyama is unexpectedly relegated to the second string, the two must overcome their differences and work together as a team if they ever want to make it to the championship.
