Overview of Brian Westbrook’s careerLimited Brian Westbrook Philadelphia Eagles Nike Game Retired Player Jersey Midnight Green Shirt

Brian Westbrook’s career was cut short by a spinal cord injury in September of 2012. The Philadelphia Eagles drafted him in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft and he quickly became one of the team’s most important players. He started all 16 games in his rookie season, caught 109 passes for 1,519 yards and 10 touchdowns, and earned a spot on the Pro Bowl roster. In 2003, Westbrook set career highs with 132 receptions for 1,597 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping the Eagles reach Super Bowl XXXIX.

Westbrook continued to be an important player for Philadelphia through the next few seasons. In 2007, he caught 98 passes for 1,409 yards and 11 touchdowns en route to being named to his second Pro Bowl. Unfortunately, his career would be cut short after he was injured in a game against the Green Bay Packers on September 23rd, 2012. After sitting out the entire 2013 season while recovering from his injury, Westbrook retired following the Eagles’ victory over Dallas in Super Bowl LII. He finished his eight-year career with 511 receptions for 7,639 yards and 49 touchdowns.
