Los Angeles Lakers NBA Champions La Laker Champion Ugly Christmas Sweater

The Los Angeles Lakers NBA Champions La Laker Champion Ugly Christmas Sweater is the perfect way to show your team spirit this holiday season. This sweater is made from 100% recycled polyester, and isMachine-washable. The Lakers have been champions for a long time, and this sweater celebrates their success.

Background of the Lakers

In 1947, Los Angeles was without an NBA team. The owner of the Hollywood Stars, Paul Rosenbloom, decided to move the team to L.A. despite protests from the league. Originally called the Lakers, the team changed their name to the Lakers after a dispute with the Philadelphia Warriors over rights to use the “Lakers” name. The first game in L.A. was on December 17 against the Tri-Cities Blackhawks, and they lost 118–112.[1]

The Lakers had a rough start in L.A., finishing with a record of 16–56 in their first season. However, they finished second in their division behind the San Francisco Warriors and reached the playoffs for the first time. They faced off against the St. Louis Bombers in a best-of-five series, and lost four games to one (the last three by just one point). In 1949–50, they improved to 39–33 but lost in three games to the Fort Wayne Pistons in the first round of the playoffs.

In 1950–51, they became an NBA champion for only the second time after winning 40 games and losing just two (to Fort Wayne again). They defeated Boston Celtic four games to one in what is now known as “The Greatest Game Ever Played”. Wilt Chamberlain had led Laker teams to two championships before this game but it was his performance during this series that made him an international superstar.[2]

How the Lakers Won the NBA Championship

In a thrilling seven-game series, the Los Angeles Lakers became the 2017 NBA Champions, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in a matchup of historic teams. LeBron James led Cleveland to its fourth championship in six years, but despite his best efforts, could not overcome an experienced and battle-tested Lakers squad. Throughout the playoffs, both teams displayed their trademark grit and determination as they went toe-to-toe in some of the most exciting basketball we have ever seen.

In game one of the series, LA jumped out to an early lead as LeBron James scored 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting. However, Cleveland would not be deterred and came back to tie the game at halftime. In game two, James once again led his team to victory with 36 points on 12-of-23 shooting, including 7 three pointers. The Cavs were able to take control in games three and four as they averaged over 100 points per game while shutting down Kobe Bryant and company. However, it was Lonzo Ball who stepped up in game five as he recorded a triple double (27 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) while Kyrie Irving struggled mightly (5 points on 2-of-14 shooting). This proved to be pivotal as it gave LA momentum heading into game six.

Game six was an intense battle between two of history’s greatest players as James hit a late three pointer to give Cleveland a 106–102 lead with

Reaction to the Lakers Winning the NBA Championship

The Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship victory over the Golden State Warriors has been met with mixed reactions from fans and sports commentators. Some are in disbelief that the Lakers were able to pull off the upset, while others are ecstatic that their team was able to finally win a championship.

Many people who follow basketball closely were not convinced that the Lakers could beat the Warriors, as they have been consistently one of the best teams in the league throughout most of this season. However, there is no denying that LA’s focus and determination paid off in Thursday night’s (June 12) game seven victory.

Some people have taken to social media to express their dislike for the La Laker’s newly designed ugly Christmas sweater, which was released shortly after their championship win. The sweater features a green Laker logo on a red background and has been compared by some to a “humblebrag” shirt. Critics say that it trivializes what was ultimately an extremely hard-fought championship victory, while others feel that it is simply fun and festive attire for fans who enjoy watching their team succeed.

Overall, reaction to the Lakers winning the NBA Championship has been mixed but largely positive. Many people are excited for LA’s future as a dynasty contender and look forward to seeing more innovative marketing efforts from their front office in order to create even more fan loyalty.
