However, the mother of a murder victim argues that the lyrics influenced her son’s murderer. In a recent trial in Tasmania, the prosecution contended that the convicted murderer got the idea for disposing of the body from the song’s lyrics.
The court heard explicit details from the lyrics during the trial, depicting a method similar to how the murderer disposed of the victim’s remains. The mother expressed deep distress upon hearing the lyrics, likening it to reading the execution of her own son.
The convicted murderer, who denied the crime, admitted to listening to the song in the days leading up to the incident. The court deemed the dismemberment of the victim’s body a “particularly gruesome exercise.”
The murderer disposed of body parts in various locations, including bushland and suburban wheelie bins, with an accomplice aiding in the act.
