Wildcats Head to Bemidji State for the Second Round of the NCAA Playoffs
The Central Washington football team (8-3) is advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs, facing the Bemidji State Beavers (9-2) at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time from Chet Anderson Stadium in The Land of 10,000 Lakes this Saturday.
In the previous round, the Wildcats secured a hard-fought 16-13 overtime victory against the second-seeded and 10th-nationally ranked Western Colorado Mountaineers. Quarterback McGill played a crucial role, setting career-highs with 24 completions on 47 attempts, totaling 277 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Darius Morrison delivered a standout performance with nine receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Cameron Daniels took charge of the running game, accumulating 81 yards, including a 17-yard rush. Defensively, Brett McCalla led with 10 tackles, while Brett Accimus and Tanner Volk contributed eight tackles each. Volk also secured his 12th interception of the season.

In the first round of the playoffs, they defeated Texas Permian Basin 10-3 in a gritty fashion.
